Covid-19 FAQ's

Following the government update on Monday 12th October 2020, we would like to take this opportunity to update you on our current COVID procedures we have put in place.

Black Horse Beamish is located in Tier 2 at high level. This means that the following restrictions are in place:
Maximum table size of 6 with members of own household or support bubble only
10pm curfew (please see further details below)
Funerals and weddings of up to 15 people
Business events of up to 25

Any guests who live in a Tier 1 and 2 area may still book a stay in the hotel if they are staying with members of their own household or social bubble. Any guests who live in a Tier 3 are not allowed to travel and therefore should not visit the hotel at this time.

We have worked hard to become a COVID secure business and have received the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation as well as fantastic feedback from our guests. The safety of our guests and staff continues to be our main priority and so our previous COVID procedures remain in place:

Firstly, all guests are required to wear face coverings in the public areas of the restaurant and may remove the coverings once seated in a bar or restaurant.

We have a Track & Trace QR code available at Reception and we encourage all our guests to scan the QR code on arrival.

Finally, our bar and restaurant will close at 10pm until further notice and therefore our new opening times for service are as follows:

9:00am - 10:00pm
Monday - Saturday
Last table: 8:00pm
Sunday
Last table 6:00pm

For those guests with an upcoming reservation that may have been impacted by our new opening hours, our Reservations team are on hand to assist you.

Our fantastic restaurant offerings will not be impacted, we have a new Autumn menu for our guests to enjoy and our renowned Sunday Lunch menu is served from 12pm until 6pm every Sunday. Our Afternoon Tea continues to be served daily and we are now offering a takeaway service.

Social distancing measures, temperature checks, and our new cleaning protocols, will also continue to ensure you have a magical stay at Black Horse Beamish.

Once again, I would like to thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back to Red Row Estate soon.

What will happen when I first arrive?

Due to the ongoing pandemic it is now compulsory at the Black Horse Beamish for guests to wear face coverings on arrival/exit when not seated. This to ensure the safety of all staff and customers.

We understand that some customers have exemptions from wearing face masks due to health conditions or hidden disabilities and we ask guests to wear a mask only if you can.

Please follow directional signage, we are using only one entrance to the restaurant via the back entrance. You will be greeted at our outdoor host stand located at the back of the premises next to the car park and clearly marked, from there our host team member will ask if you would like food or drinks only and you will be asked for personal details for track and tracing purposes (this is mandatory from government guidance). Guests will be directed to their table from here.

To comply with the law, all table reservations must be from one household. Or split onto different tables within the restaurant. This is subject to availability.
