Beamish Museum always have a fantastic range of events planned throughout the year, please check their calendar of events for more information. We have included some not-to-be missed ones below:
International Women’s Day, 8th- 10th March 2019. Take part in a Suffragette rally.
British Science Week, 9th – 17th March 2019.
Great North Steam Fair, 11th – 14th April 2019. An amazing collection of steam locomotives, motor vehicles and road steam vehicles will converge on Beamish Museum for the annual Great North Steam Fair.
Easter Fun at Beamish, 19th – 22nd April 2019. Enjoy a cracking day out at Beamish this Easter with lots of egg-citing activities happening at the museum.
Horses at work, 27th – 28th April. Enjoy an equine extravaganza during Horses at Work, part of the Great North Festival of Transport
Georgian Fair, 10th – 12th May 2019. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of a Georgian Country Fair at Pockerley Waggonway from Thursday 10th May to Sunday 12th May 2019.
Meccano Exhibition, 11th – 12th May 2019. See the wonderful creations of The North East Meccano Society at the Meccano Exhibition.
Morris Car Rally, 15th – 16th June 2019. A display by the Morris Car Club featuring up to 20 stunning vehicles across the weekend.
Festival of 50’s, 11th – 14th July 2019. Dig out your 50s finery and rock and roll along to this fabulous celebration of all things fifties.
Summer of fun, 20th July – 28th August 2019. Every day during the school holidays, from Saturday, 20th July to Wednesday, 28th August, there’ll be amazing activities taking place across the museum for all the family to enjoy.
Agricultural Show, 12th – 15th September. From eagles and vultures to sheep dogs and shearing, join us for a traditional 1900s Agricultural Show.
Classic Car Day, 29th September 2019. Come and see vehicles on display dating from the 1920s onwards by the North of England Classic & Pre-War Automobiles Motoring Club.
Christmas at Beamish - Every day, 10am to 4pm from 16th November to 24th December 2019. Be enchanted by Christmas at Beamish. Discover the amazing sights, sounds and delicious tastes of truly traditional festive celebrations.

Afternoon tea - Bookings must be made by 6pm the day before. Please leave us a note with guest numbers, type of afternoon tea & dietary requirements as not all requests can be catered for on the day.
Deposits - If a deposit is required for a reservation it is fully refundable until 48 hours prior to booking. If cancellation is less than 48 hours the deposit is non-refundable.
We are unable to guarantee any special requests (e.g. table requests) but will try our best to accommodate.
