As the days get longer and the nights get lighter, we are extending our food serving times so you get to make the most of dining in the sunshine (fingers crossed).

Monday - Thursday:12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 9pm
Friday:12pm - 9.30pm

Saturday: 12pm - 4.30pm and 6pm - 9.30pm
Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays: 12pm - 6pm

Tuesday 31st January 2012 New Winter Set Menu

Our aim at The Black Horse is to deliver a relaxed dining experience, delivering freshly prepared dishes made to order using the finest ingredients at great value.

We would like to introduce our new Set Winter Menu for lunch and early evening. Priced at £11.95 for 2 courses and £14.95 for 3 courses, we will be offering a range of courses changing weekly.

The new menu is available from Monday - Friday 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 7pm.

Monday 16th January 2012 Winter Opening Times

In response to customer feedback it has been decided that the Black Horse bar will remain open all day, as from Monday 16th January, until Easter.

Please take note that the restaurant serving times will be as follows until April.

RESTAURANT SERVING HOURS

Monday - Friday: 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 9pm

Saturday: 12pm - 4.30pm and 6pm - 9pm

Sunday: 12pm - 4.00pm

Thursday 22nd December 2011 Merry Christmas!!! New opening hours for 2012

OPENING AND SERVING HOURS

We would like all our customers to know that as from Tuesday 3rd January 2012 we will have new opening hours.

Monday - Friday: 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 10pm

Saturday: 12pm - 11pm

Sunday: 12pm - 7pm

Our restaurant ordering times will also change to -

Monday - Friday: 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 9pm

Saturday: 12pm - 4.30pm and 6pm - 9pm

Sunday: 12pm - 4.00pm

SUNDAY LUNCH

We will be using a non-booking system for Sunday Lunch between 12pm - 4.00pm. Come along and relax in our bar or first floor lounge and we will try and get you a table as soon as possible.

If you are a large party and wish to book a table please come along to one of our Family Sunday’s held on the below dates.

Tuesday 1st February 2011 A True Thoroughbred

After our first attempt at celebrating was postponed due to snow back in December, we can now say we had a fantastic VIP and Media First Birthday Event on January 18th! Over 150 guests were in attendance, including Real Radios Gary and Lisa, Lady Elsie Robson - the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and many more important faces around the North East. Guests sipped on bubbly and tucked into the fab nibbles, including our amazing birthday cake which was a replica of the old Black Horse Pub, made by our Head Baker Murray!

The event was also held to show off our new Orangery room which has been built onto the side of the restaurant. This spectacular, light and airy space provides a completely unique venue for weddings, black tie balls or parties and can accommodate a maximum of 60 guests for a sit down meal and up to 80 for an evening reception.

Thank you to all you that attended, and for your continous custom and support. We are looking forward to the year ahead and the exciting future developments.
