We are recruiting for an experienced and reliable Head Chef who has a natural flair for cooking high quality fresh local food dishes, who is creative, with exceptional presentation of dishes, as well as being a strong calm and collected leader of a team, excellent organisation skills and can show loyalty and commitment in their roles.

Ideally, the right candidate will have significant experience in a premium hospitality setting with a proven track record in a number of core areas including restaurant, wedding and events.

Access to own transport an advantage due to location.

The role:

-Lead a dynamic team catering for our 150-seat restaurant and up to 250 weddings a year

·To manage the day-to-day operation of a busy high quality fresh food operation.

·Planning, creating, and delivering new innovative dishes to the menu.

·Lead, manage and drive your team to deliver exceptional food quality, presentation, and an efficient working kitchen.

·Ensure high standards of cleanliness and H&S procedures are set and adhered to.

·Be responsible for stock ordering, stock controls, wages controls, rotas and maintenance.

·To work with the wedding team preparing and catering for weddings.

·To work on launching event menus, afternoon teas and future business ideas.

The desirable candidate:

·An experienced Head Chef who can deliver exceptional food.

·A professional, calm and collected leader with strong team management and training skills

·Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan your time and multi-task where needed.

·An innovative person with a forward thinking and proactive management style

·Be able to show loyalty and commitment in your previous roles.

·Credentials in Health & Safety training and hygiene standards would be advantageous but the ability to adapt and learn new systems and operating procedures.

·Be happy to work closely with the owner and management and have the ambition to take this restaurant and fresh food operation to the next level.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £16.00 per hour
